Fettuccini Alfredo

Ingredients

  • 1 lb. fettuccine noodles
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1 c. heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 2 c. freshly grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Fill a 2 quart saucepan, over medium high heat to boil.  When it boils, add 1 tbsp kosher salt.
  2. Cooking according to package directions, and meanwhile, prepare the other ingredients.
  3. In another saucepan, warm the butter, then add the cream, season well with salt and pepper. 
  4. Place half of the grated parmesan cheese into a large serving bowl, and when the pasta is finished, drain and add to that bowl.
  5. Toss several times, then sprinkle with the other half of the parmesan cheese.  Add the butter and cream mixture to the pan, mix to thoroughly combine.
