Cheeseburger
Casserole
Yield: 6

Cook time: 30

Ingredients
- 8 ounces pasta (I used bowties obviously)
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 medium red onion diced
- 8 ounces mushrooms diced
- 1 1/2 cups beef broth
- 3 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 teaspoon yellow mustard
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 1 1/2 cups sharp cheddar shredded
- 1 1/2 cups Swiss cheese shredded
- sliced kosher dill pickles for garnish
- 1 tomato, chopped
Instructions
- In a large saucepan, fill with water, and bring to a boil. Add 1 tbsp of salt and the pasta, cook for the slightly less than the recommended time, so the pasta should be firm, but slightly undercooked as you will be baking it. If you do not use bowties, choose another firm sturdy pasta as a substitute. Once done, drain and set aside.
- In a medium sized skillet, cook the ground beef along with the onions and mushrooms until the beef is browned and crumbly.
- Combine the broth, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce together with the cornstarch and mix well. Assuring the beef is fully cooked, add the sauce and stir to combine and thicken. Toss in the pasta and stir, mixing well.
- **Add the cheese on top, and cover with a lid, allow to sit for 5 minutes.
- We chose to use a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes, then topped with chopped pickles and tomatoes.

Notes:
This was interesting. I think I remember we did like this, but needed to be a bit more spicy.
